In order to carry out international students administration in an active and effective
way, help improve international students service, The School of International Education is going to establish an International Students’ Union on behalf of all the international students in ZUST.
International Students Union is made up by 4 departments which are Academic Department, Sports and Arts Department, News and Publicity Department, Social Service Department under the leadership of President of the organization.
Now we are going to select a president who is capable of significant duties through a series of process, followed as voluntarily registration , qualification examination, public campaign, students vote. Other members of ISU committee will be nominated by the president and evaluated by international school.
1. Qualification of President of ISU
(1) Officially registered major students or advanced students whose study period lasts for more than one year.
(2) Abide by Chinese laws and regulations, observe ZUST rules and regulations without any illegal conducts.
(3) Well behaved with good manners and reputation among international students, have great command ability and serve people with heart and soul as a role model.
(4) Proficient in English, skillful in using Chinese, aware of culture and religion difference in different countries with strong organizing ability and leadership skills.
(5) Academic achievements rank top 50% in class.
(6)Be able to fulfill his duties in ISU for at least one year, the chairman for at least two years.
2. Responsibility:
(1) Responsible for the formulation and implementation of all the activity plan, host of ISU daily work.
(2) Organize Ministers meeting regularly.
(3) Instruct each department implement work effectively.
(4) Report to international office regularly.
(5) Assist teachers ofInternationalSchool.
3. Encouragement policies:
(1) Members of ISU enjoy priority when apply for all kinds of scholarships.(if study results qualified )
(2)Outstanding members will be issued certificates and awards.
4. Registration
(1) Registration time and place: A4-414,before June 20th .
(2) Application materials: Application form, Study transcript.
